Apposite Business & Investment Services (ABIS) Limited is focused on providing the missing services for businesses and individuals in East Africa. The company first saw the need to offer a more personalised Investment Advisory Service. This service has successfully managed and grown investor portfolios since 2007.

More recently, ABIS Limited has launched two more services. Through its Wills Service, the company has ventured into facilitating the processing of Last Testament & Living Wills. By making the task easy, affordable and quick, one of the most important legal documents is now completed by many more wise and organised people. With a focus on SMEs, ABIS Limited has also introduced its BPO HR & Admin Service. By maintaining your HR and Administration records, we allow you to focus on your core activities without loosing track of your employees and ensuring statutory compliance.

Althea McCourt (ABIS Ltd Founder & CEO)

Over the last 10 years – through senior management positions and term consultancies – Althea has been engaged in areas of Organisational System  Development and Processes; HR Management and Debt Collection Management.

She has guided organisations through strategy development and implementation, and facilitated on one of the most far reaching techniques for strategy implementation, the Balanced Score Card.

She has worked in a range of industries, and held positions of Operations Director (Research Solutions Limited), General Manager (AfSat Kenya Limited, now merged with Africa Online and iWay Africa), General Manager Operations & Sales (Triple A Capital Limited).

Prior to management consultancy, Althea held various senior positions in a leading stock brokerage firm for over eleven years. (Dyer & Blair Investment Bank, formerly Dyer & Blair Limited). During this time in addition to the day to day management of the company, she represented Dyer & Blair in initial public offerings and private placements. She was instrumental in the development of the company’s marketing, operations and research departments. Being in the industry at the time of regional capital markets development, she played a significant role in guiding the initial players, and was a stock market resource person within East Africa.

Althea holds an MBA – Information Technology (University of Leicester), and a BA (Hons) in Business Studies (University of North London). She is a Member of the Marketing & Social Research Association (MSRA), WAPOR, SAMRA, ESOMAR and Kenya Institute of Management (KIM).
